Compact Lifting Equipment joined the Jekko team at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 in Las Vegas to showcase one of the most capable machines in our specialized lifting fleet: the lithium-powered Jekko SPX650.

Held March 3 through 7, 2026, CONEXPO brought more than 140,000 construction professionals from 128 countries together to see the latest equipment, technology, and jobsite solutions. It remains North America's largest construction trade show. For CLE, it was an opportunity to show contractors that meaningful lifting capacity does not always require a conventional full-size crane.

Showcasing the lithium SPX650

The centerpiece of our appearance with the Jekko team was our lithium-powered SPX650. It combines an 11,020 lb maximum capacity with the compact dimensions, crawler undercarriage, and adjustable outriggers of Jekko's mini crane platform. The lithium system runs emission-free indoors, includes onboard 110/230V charging, charges from zero to 80 percent in roughly three hours, and lets the crane keep working while connected to an approved power source. It also provides pick-and-carry capability up to approximately 1,750 lb under approved operating conditions.

That makes the SPX650 more than a smaller substitute for a conventional crane. It is a different type of lifting solution, built for projects where access, emissions, floor space, and precise load control matter as much as maximum capacity.

Why it drew attention

Contractors know the usual choice: mobile crane, carry deck, telehandler, or forklift. Each becomes difficult when a project involves:

→Narrow access points and interior lifting
→Finished floors, limited setup space, low overhead clearance
→Emission restrictions and work inside active facilities
→Obstacles between the crane and the load
→Precision placement of glass, machinery, or mechanical equipment

The SPX650 answers with a compact crawler platform, radio-remote operation, adjustable stabilization, and multiple lifting configurations. Instead of a cab with restricted sight lines, remote control lets the operator stand wherever the view of the load, landing area, and crew is best.

Lithium is more than an emissions feature

Battery power is usually discussed in environmental terms, but the operational benefits matter just as much: no diesel exhaust in the work area, far less noise, easier communication between operator and signal personnel, and continued work in occupied or controlled environments where diesel is restricted. The ability to work while charging keeps longer projects productive whenever approved electrical service is available.

Bringing it back to the Mid-Atlantic

Working alongside the Jekko team reinforced why CLE exists: contractors need more than a list of machines. They need someone who understands access measurements, lifting radius, load-chart capacity, floor conditions, outrigger positioning, and attachment selection. A machine can have sufficient maximum capacity and still be completely wrong for a lift.

Our goal is to make specialized lifting equipment accessible across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and the surrounding Mid-Atlantic: lithium mini cranes, dual-power spider cranes, mini pickers, articulated crawler cranes, carry decks, self-leveling tracked lifts, glass handling, and ground protection.

Planning a lift with the SPX650

To evaluate an application we typically need the load weight and dimensions, pickup radius, placement radius, required hook height, doorway and access dimensions, ground or floor conditions, overhead restrictions, outrigger space, required attachments, and the delivery location and schedule. With that, we review the load chart and confirm whether the SPX650, or another machine in the fleet, is the right answer.

Talk through your liftSend the load weight, height, and access dimensions. CLE will confirm the right configuration, derated or full-capacity.
