Straight answers on self-leveling, elevated travel, slopes, and ground protection.
A HYRAX combines a tracked undercarriage with automatic self-leveling and the ability to work without traditional stabilizer outriggers. It can move and operate on terrain where a conventional wheeled boom lift may struggle to hold a stable working position.
Yes. The HYRAX 27.41 is designed to travel while elevated, at a controlled speed of roughly 0.25 mph at maximum working height, with about 41 ft of working height, 28 ft of outreach, and a 600 lb basket capacity.
No. Its tracked chassis and self-leveling system establish a working position without deploying four stabilizer legs, cutting setup time and eliminating the large outrigger footprint of many tracked lifts.
The 27.41 self-levels automatically on slopes up to approximately 15 degrees, subject to the manufacturer's operating limits and site conditions.
The 27.41 is the lighter, more compact option: about 41 ft of working height and 28 ft of outreach. The 50.52 provides about 52.5 ft of working height, 34.5 ft of reach, and weighs roughly 11,000 lb.
Tracks spread the weight better than four tires, but can still mark soft ground, turf, and finished surfaces. Evaluate ground conditions first; grass mats or other ground protection may be required.
Yes. Operators must be trained and authorized on the applicable mobile elevating work platform, plus jobsite familiarization, fall protection, and employer safety requirements.
