1. Why power decides indoor jobs
An engine inside a building introduces exhaust and requires the site to assess ventilation, air monitoring, and its operating restrictions. Occupied buildings, hospitals, data centers, and food plants may prohibit engine operation. Electric operation avoids exhaust at the machine, but it does not remove the need to check site rules, noise, electrical safety, and other work in the area.
2. Battery-electric
The Jekko battery range includes SPX and MPK machines with onboard energy storage. Confirm the battery, charger, and power options on the particular unit before booking. Runtime depends on duty cycle, temperature, battery condition, and the work. Arrange a charging point and ask CLE to confirm whether the supplied configuration permits operation while charging. An electrician should verify the required circuit, receptacle, and any extension cable against the charger instructions.
- Zero exhaust, lowest noise, no fuel storage
- Charging from a supply that matches the fitted charger
- Confirm whether the particular unit permits work while charging
- Cold weather reduces runtime; plan a charging point on winter outdoor jobs
3. Dual power
The Maeda MC285C-2, MC305C-2, and MC405C-2 have engine and electric-power configurations. A correctly equipped machine can use electric power for indoor work without engine exhaust. Electrical options differ by model and unit; do not assume the available wall connection is suitable. Confirm the voltage, phase, connector, circuit, and cable with CLE and the building electrician before delivery.
- Diesel range and speed outdoors, electric operation indoors
- Plug-in operation without depending on battery charge, within the machine duty limits
- Needs the right voltage and a cord run to the setup area
- Heavier than the battery Jekkos at the same capacity class
4. Diesel
Engine-powered configurations are available across the SPX, Broderson, and Hyrax ranges. They can suit outdoor work where charging is impractical and engine use is permitted. Confirm the actual fuel and power options on the rental unit. Propane is not exhaust-free: any combustion engine requires the site to approve ventilation and air quality before indoor use.

6. Choosing
- Is there an exhaust restriction? If yes, battery or dual power on electric.
- Is a suitable supply within cord reach? Confirm the charger or electric-power option with CLE and the electrician before selecting the machine.
- Is the job outdoors, long, or cold with no power? Diesel.
- Then, and only then, pick the capacity and reach from the machines that pass.
Check the power source on the machine page and compare the available configurations with CLE before booking.comparison tool
